Lael had only 8 of her teeth for quite some time and for a while there was no activity on the teething front. Then all of a sudden she started to get her MOLARS {insert high pitched horror movie scream in the background}. Getting new teeth has never really seemed to bother her too much, but these teeth have been a different story. Thankfully, her sleep hasn't been disrupted by it, but I can tell when she's awake that she is at times uncomfortable. It's evident. Believe me. :)
The lovely people over at Baby Orajel® sent me some Baby Orajel® Naturals to try out just in time! Now we're naturally on our way to feeling better with this benzocaine-free, alcohol-free, and dye-free teething remedy. Thank you, Baby Orajel®!
I simply put a pea size amount of Baby Orajel® Naturals on the tip of my finger...
... tell her to say, "Ahhhhh" (which doesn't take much coaxing, she loves this stuff!)...
... and rub it on her gums where the tooth is coming through.
A happy girl... Naturally!
See her new tooth in the back?

How appropriate for today--my little one is working on her top front teeth right now. I try to give her something to chew on like a teething ring or wash cloth.
ReplyDeleteaggiegal114@aol.com
Our pediatrician said that his pacifier can help teething pain by giving him a self soothing activity. That has seemed to work well when nothing else does!
ReplyDeleteWe were lucky with our first that teething wasn't too terrible. We used orajel during the day and motrin at night when it seemed to be bothering him the most!
ReplyDeleteAfter 2 little ones, it feels like we've tried everything! Here are just a few...
ReplyDelete1) Letting them chew on a cold/frozen washcloth
2) All natural smoothies or frozen popsicle smoothies(if they are old enough)
3) Pain relief - motrin or orajel
4) Raspberry pacifier - it's the craziest looking thing ever but it works!
my little girl Campbell, is just about to get her FIRST tooth! Bless her little heart, she just chews on EVERYTHING! I haven't yet found anything that seems to help much! I will have to try the orajel!!!!
ReplyDeleteHA! I don't really have answer to this! I was hoping to get some good ideas from everyone else who comments since we are now teething ( a little late)! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway! Brantley loves to chew on wet, cold washclothes when she teething. Like most, she enjoys frozen teethers, but I do give her tylenol when I can tell that it is pretty painful. Hope I win!!!! We are expecting in December so we can certainly put this to use!
ReplyDeleteNeither of my boys really gave me TOO much trouble when they were teething but when they did fuss I found that frozen washclothes and teething rings seemed to soothe them for a bit. One teething toy that my youngest LOVED was this First Years Massaging Teether that vibrated? http://www.amazon.com/First-Years-Massaging-Action-Teether/dp/B000V8AL3C/ref=pd_sim_t_1 He loooooooved it.
ReplyDelete(And actually, big brother liked to play with it too, even tho he was far past teething age, haha!)
So Fun! We actually just used the plain old frozen teething rings, baby Orajel and TYLENOL :) Such a fun Giveaway!!!
ReplyDeleteWe have used Hylands teething tablets for all 4 kids, and I have heard wonderful things about Amber Teething necklaces lately. Gives them something to knaw on, but also naturally relieves pain. Whatever works, right?! I have avoided Orajel in the past due to the meds in it, but now that they went natural? I'm in! Thanks for a great give away!
ReplyDeleteOur little Finn is currently getting his one year molars and he is quite uncomfortable. We have found that he likes to chew on unopened cheese sticks from the fridge. We wash them and he gnaws them up. You do have to be careful because he can squeeze them out of the package. He thinks that's an added bonus.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to try this natural product!
We have alot of different teethers, her favorite is one that viberates!
ReplyDeleteWe have done the raspberry "pacifiers", as well, along with cold popsicles (if they are old enough)...I am still always looking for natural ways to soothe their pain! What a fun giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI let my kids chew on a wet washrag.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the cold teething rings and since mine were all so young when they first started teething, I used Tylenol as well. I can't wait to try this with Libby!

My baby boy just got his first two teeth this past week. My favorite way to help him ease his pain is by giving him a homemade apple popsicle. The cold is relieving for his gums and the taste is yummy for his mouth! Sometimes instead of a popsicle I will give him some frozen fruit puree in a mesh feeder and he loves it!
ReplyDeletecold teething rings
